Traditional- Is derived from traditional Chinese medicine. In the first step the placenta is rinsed, steamed, and then dehydrated. Next, the placenta is grinded up and the capsules are filled. Benefits include an increase in milk supply, more energy, lessened blues or depression symptoms and higher iron levels which is beneficial to those that hemorrhaged. Steaming is a safety step to ensure that all lingering bacteria on the placenta is killed. It’s also good for those with meconium staining.

Raw-If you are not wanting to lose any nutrients that you lose during the steaming method, then this is for you. With the raw method the placenta is rinsed but not steamed, and then placed in dehydrator.

Raw cubes for smoothies-Is an option for people that can’t or don’t want to swallow pills. I rinse the placenta but do not steam or dehydrate it, leaving all the nutrients. I fill molds that are then placed in the freezer. You then add one to your smoothie every day for benefits of increased milk supply, lower levels of depression, and more energy. You will not taste the placenta when drinking your smoothie. You also don’t have to use all of your placenta on the cubes and can have both capsules and cubes.
